Step 1 – 15-minute Intro Meeting

Before committing your time or ours, this 15-minute phone call will give us both a chance to make sure your situation matches our expertise. We’d like to get to know you and introduce ourselves and our process.

If we aren’t a good fit for each other we will gladly introduce you to a firm who is better suited to your needs.

Step 2 – The Expedition Briefing

The goal of this meeting is to get perfectly clear on your goals, concerns and unique financial situation.

Your answers to our questions, along with the documents we request that you bring, will guide our analysis. During this meeting we will help you get organized and clear on your financial situation.

Step 3 – Route Planning

Behind the scenes, our team will conduct a deep analysis of your financial picture, leveraging decades of experience and industry-leading expertise. We’ll assess key areas such as:

  • Retirement readiness – Are you on track to retire with confidence?
  • Tax efficiency – Are there opportunities to minimize your lifetime tax burden?
  • Portfolio optimization – Can your investments be better aligned with your goals?
  • Risk management – Are there hidden risks that could threaten your financial future?

This comprehensive evaluation allows us to identify strengths, uncover potential gaps, and build a strategy that aligns with your financial goals.

Step 4 – Map Review Meeting

This is where it gets real

During this meeting we will explain, in plain English, exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals. Primarily this will be a summary of where you are, where you plan to be, and most importantly how you will get there safely.

We are in no rush for you to make a decision. Prior to deciding whether we should work together, you will want to answer the following questions:

Do I like/trust/respect the team at Canyon?
Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
Do their recommendations make sense to me?

Step 5 – The Trailhead/Paperwork

Time to take action. We’ll review the prioritized list of action items, agree on a timeline, and get moving.

We will answer any questions you have, and if you are ready, start the paperwork to become a client.
